Akuroku Valentine's Day 2011

Roxas woke up from a deep sleep, from a dream world he never wanted to leave… He had been with Axel in his dreams, yet again. He always dreamed of Axel nowadays…

Sighing, Roxas looked over at the calendar. He felt his a fluttering in his chest when he saw the date – February 14th. It was the day that somebodys all celebrated their love for their partners, as far as he understood it. Sure, maybe Roxas didn't know what love really was, but he knew that he was as close to loving Axel as he possibly could.

Roxas jumped out of bed, and put on his tight black jeans that made his butt pop – he was going to attract Axel today, no matter what. After a slight moment of indecision, he picked up his only red shirt. It fit tightly, and he had only bought it because it was the exact same color as Axel's hair.

As Roxas opened his door and left his room, he saw Axel's door was ajar. This could only mean one thing – Axel was already awake. Roxas slowly moved down the hallway, feeling his non-existent heart practically beating out of his chest. He entered the kitchen, which held Xigbar, Demyx, and Axel.

"Roxas! Thank god you're here! These two and their lovey dovey Valentine's Day shit!" Axel threw up his hands in celebration. "Don't they know they don't have hearts!?"

Roxas tried to laugh, but it cut off in his throat. There was no way Axel was really that callous about it, was there? Demyx reached over and touched him on the shoulder, pulling him out of his innermost thoughts.

"Me and Xig, uhmm… We're gonna go chill in my room." Demyx rubbed Roxas' shoulder in encouragement. Roxas looked up at him with a grateful smile and watched as the giggling couple left the kitchen.

Roxas sat down at the table across from Axel. "Do you really think them being "lovey dovey" is shit?" He tried to laugh it off, but failed miserably. He sounded more like he was choking.

"Nah…" Axel waved his hand in the air. "It's just fun to tease Dem. Did you see his face?" He leaned back in his chair, and put his feet on the table.

Roxas stood up, unsure of what to do. "So, don't you… Believe in love? Or as close as we can get?"

Axel looked at Roxas with eyes full of questions, but he asked only one… "Rox, where are you going with this?"

With that, Roxas made a bold move. He strode across the room, and put his hand under Axel's chin. He answered Axel's question, "This is where I'm going." And with that, he lifted Axel's face to his, and kissed him. In shock, Axel fell back onto the ground.

"Rox…" Axel breathed out Roxas' name as though it were sacred, but Roxas thought Axel was angry with him.

"Sorry…" Roxas muttered, and turned to go. He stopped when he felt a warm hand on his leg.

Roxas turned to see Axel lying on the floor, looking up at him. "Roxas… Join me." He outstretched his arms, and held them to Roxas.

Axel didn't need to tell Roxas twice. Roxas leapt into his arms, and kissed him on the lips.

"Happy Valentine's Day, Axel…"

"Happy Valentine's Day, Rox…"
